For my first bundle I selected three stories that aren’t in any of my smaller series’. The sex is, always, intense. But, I’ve always seen that as just part of my characters’ lives. So, it is intertwined in every decision they make, which sets the whole plot.

Well, the series is progressing, and my last Sally the Sow book gave hints about how powerful and influential the elite sex society “The Life” is in the world. In this book I wanted to do three things. First, I wanted to highlight that there are many practitioners of the philosophy called The Life who aren’t in the elite society, but these “common people” are still highly influenced by the hidden “New World Order” types. Sally was brought into that group to be a plaything, but not every one is welcome.

Second, I wanted to address that the philosophy isn’t accepted by everyone in my little fantasy world. This matters because in the “real world” there are a lot of people who abuse others under the guise of being some sort of BDSM Master or Mistress, but are really just bullies looking for willing victims. I kind of took the characters of Sonny and Pauline to an extreme, but not too extreme. A big part of why I’m writing this series is to preach to the choir in relation to these dangerous wannabes, while educating people who don’t really understand BDSM relationships.

Third, I wanted to delve into an aspect of sex, and in particular this kind of sex, that people don’t often discuss: spiritual transformation. BDSM/kink enthusiasts enjoy their lifestyle for infinite reasons. For some, the masochist can reach heights of ecstasy like none other—but only if they completely lose their sense of self. In other words, their ego is entirely removed from the equation, and they have no barrier between themselves and whatever it is that constitutes “God.”

Like I said, not every kinkster is looking for this. Master Ben in this series isn’t. He’s much more like Sonny in this story, except that his submissives fully understand what they’ve gotten into, unlike Pauline.

All this may seem a bit preachy, but I’m really just trying to present a more full representation of the BDSM landscape than what other popular BDSM writers present. Realism was at the forefront of this project, and its a promise I’ve wanted to keep all along.

This story was a lot of fun, though. There’s a sex position with Pauline and Bonny that I accidentally created and can’t wait to try. I think the story is worth reading for that little invention alone!

When I sat down to write More Torment of Sally the Sow I didn’t set out to write anything as ambitious as it turned out to be. I was actually on a whole other track when I realized that Sally’s journey required that I write this part of her life. Well, one thing led to another and all of the Palm Springs chapter of The Life (the elite sex society for the wealthy) had to be included. With that came a revelation on how influential this “secret society” really is. The next thing I knew I was introducing so many people that I worried things might get confusing.

However, my preliminary readers (a small group of close friends) said it was fine, and so here you go. This next installment in the Sally series actually tells you about all sorts of characters that are part of the novels my working on. (Coming soon!) I’ve know all of these people for almost a year, but many of them were only alive in the character bio sheets I created for them. Bringing them to life here was vital to the overall universe I’m presenting as well as this story by itself. It was fun playing God and breathing life into them.

The first Sally story (The Torment of Sally the Sow) took place in January of 2017, for those who are following the timelines of the characters. So this story takes place one week later. But, the whole universe I’ve created is really centered on two sets of people, whose stories date back to before Sally was even born. One set is Masters Daniel and Mark. I’ve been working on the novels that were supposed to introduce them (starting in 1989) as they first come into their own. Every time I “meet” another person integral to their sensual journeys I end up writing a bio, and then a story, just to get to know them. That’s how Abby’s story (taking place in 1970) and Dr. Kim and Robert’s stories (1990’s) came together.

So, writing about Sally’s torment was really a part of the process of bringing more of the overall universe I’m constructing out, while developing my personal relationship with each of the characters.

People really loved Doctor Punishment. I mean, I never had a response to one of my books, before or since, like I had with that one. The funny things is, I only wrote it to get inside Doctor Kim’s head because she’s going to be in an upcoming novel. (I did the same thing with Abby, and it was another of my most read and bought books… go figure!) It was supposed to be a one-off.

But when I create a character I do up a whole bio on them, and Kim’s bio was super interesting to me. Robert’s, not so much… I mean, he’s a strong, silent cop. What makes him tick is that he likes medical kink. So what? Kim truly is his better half, and with good reason. She’s far more interesting.

I was reading “Stolen Lives” by Malika Oufkir when I wrote this book. She didn’t use a lot of scenes in telling her story, which all the writing books pretty much advise is “required.” Instead, she just tells what happened to her and her family, and the result is a riveting book. That style influenced the first part of my new book, and the preliminary reads by my friends were very positive. So much for the writing books’ advice.

I’ll admit I experimented a bit with this one. The challenge was to have the female submissive reveal her description of her dom over time while leaving us all in some of the darkness and blinding lights she experiences. Her cruel ass dom does a lot with very little, as well, which is the mark of his Master. When I started this project I set out to write about more than just people engaging in BDSM. I set out to tell stories about people’s lives, with their sexual journeys playing a significant role in their personal growth. I also wanted to confront many of the screwed up social perceptions about sex.

In this story, I had a lot of fun at the expense of puritanical views. I think that absurdity is hilarious, and the misguided social “requirements” that Vickie was living by really highlight how she became the neurotic mess she was when she met Mistress Mimi (who happens to be one of my favorite characters). Portraying her as a more enlightened person for letting go of self-consciousness through a lesbian BDSM relationship may seem like moralizing while railing against moralizing, but, well, that’s how it goes, folks. Erotica doesn’t deserve its bad rap, and the fact is we all deserve to enjoy our bodies without hypocritical interference from those too cowardly to enjoy theirs. So, I took some shots at the puritanically blind, but the sex scenes are hot!
